Magic Drum offers workshops in Brazilian street samba using authentic instruments and rhythms. These are appropriate for both schools and young people and we also work with adult and mixed-age samba groups and hold community samba events.

Participants are taught specific rhythms such as Afoxe, Batucada, Samba Reggae, Exu, Ile Aye and Maracatu for Brazilian percussion instruments including tamborims, surdos, repiqes, caixas and agogos. We also offer workshops covering samba swing, leading and orchestrating - how to get the most out of your samba playing experience.
